THE
POWER OF VISION
There are two great words here; Power and Vision. The first that is Power is the natural or special ability
to do something. Something here could mean Vision. Thus, it is the natural or
special ability to do vision. It means that power comes naturally from God, specially
or artificially from the world, society, or man. Power that comes from the
world is temporary and that which is from God is permanent or everlasting. This
is because God, our creator does not half- baked or short lifts his creatures
but give him total and optimal dominion (Gen 1:26 -28) .
Vision on the other hand is the ability to
see; inspired, and idealistic idea about the future. In the spirit encounter,
vision of the past, present and future can be reveal to correct, warn, direct or
reposition wrong footsteps.
Now, the “Power of Vision” is the natural
or special ability to see and to know God’s plan for his children. When a man
understands this, he is ready to explore the society or environment and
surroundings which he lives in.
SOURCES:
Some
vision can be induced through satanic manipulations. But divine, real or true
vision is planted by God. And you ask; Bro. William; How can I know real or
true vision? Listen!
1.
True
vision grows out of biblical principles.
2.
It is
heart disturbing.
3.
It is
given to us by God through the Holy Spirit. (Joel 2:28).
4.
Some
of its elements are symbolic and need to be interpreted symbolically.
5.
It is
not the same as ambition, while ambition is what a man desire to be in life,
vision is what God created him to be in life.
6.
True
vision motivates us to action; never allow us to sit in complacency. That is,
it has a driving force.
7.
True
vision has proper direction and focus. It explains in details what you are to
do in order to achieve it.
8.
Real
vision comes with some challenges, hurdles you must cross. There will be
scoffers, nay-Sayers, and inadequate resources and so on.
9.
True
Godly vision consists of foresight, insight and oversight that propel from his
sight. Men of Issachar understood all these (1chr. 12:32).
10.
True
vision comes with provision, because when there is vision, there is bound to be
provision since it is God’s plan (Jer. 29:11).
11.
Make
sure that your vision(s) is tested against scriptures (1 Jn. 4:1, Deut. 13:1-5).
TYPES:
1. SPIRITUAL VISION: - Using your spirit eyes to see events, faces, places,
ideas and so on. Jesus saw Nathaniel
with his spirit eyes (Jn. 1:47-49; 19, 20; 14:12; 16:13).
2. TRANCES: - The Greek word is “ekstasis” meaning the displacement
of the mind; you are unaware of your natural environment. One can deliberately
enter into a hypnotic trance, but cannot deliberately enter into a supernatural
biblical trance, because it is Holy Spirit induced (Acts 10:9-16; 22:17-21).
3. OPEN VISION:- You could also see things or event with the physical
eyes like in the case of Zechariah while in the temple (LK 1:11-17,22), Apostle
Peter in Acts of the Apostle chapter 12:7-11;5:9,20
and Ezekiel (Ezek 1:1-21,2kings 6:1-17).
4. DREAM-VISION: - A vision in a dream.
5. AMBI-VISION:- The greatest discovery of man is the discovery of self
that is, knowing who you are and what you are here for. Your ambition can later
be discovered as your vision. To become truly successful in life, your vision must become
your ambition.
God wants to give every
believer two kinds of vision;
·
The
vision of life (Job 3:13-16).
·
The vision
of heaven (2cor 5:1-10).
Remember, God is no respecter
of anyone (Acts 10:34). For He causes rain to fall on the just and unjust (Matt.5:45).
EXAMPLES OF VISION:
There are many scriptural
references of the power of vision. For instance,

vision to Peter (Acts 10:9-48).
·
God’s
vision to Cornelius (Acts 10:1-48).
·
God’s

·
God’s
vision to Saul (Acts 9:12).
·
Zachariah’s
vision of an angel of God (LK 1:11-22).
·
Peter,
James and John had vision of Moses, Elisha on the mountain with Jesus (Matt
17:1-13).
Vision is one among the inner witness
of the Holy Spirit and God is still pouring out his spirit upon unsaved flesh
and saving them (Ps 138:2, Jude 2). The same vision is being transferred to our
generation to direct, warm, or correct. Scriptures says”.... hear now my words, if there is a prophet among you, I the lord
will make myself known to him in a vision and speaks to him...”(Num 12:6).
Again scripture announces;”And afterward
I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters shall
prophesy and your old men shall dream dreams and your young men shall see
visions” (Joel 2:28).This is not limited to a particular sect, race, or
tribe but to those who need the eyes of faith, to see the invisible, a decision
to get it started and a motivation to make it happen. A visionary is one who
sees first and sees most. Now I ask you, do you need God vision for your dear
life? If YES, please follow me in
these steps;
Ø To have a vision, you must
have clear and accurate understanding and knowledge about God, self and
circumstances around you.
Ø You have to be prayerful,
persistence and determine, but do not pressure God, you may motivate Satan.
Never underestimate the power of fasting and prayer. It is the key to great
vision. Prayer gives grace to vision (Acts 10:9-16). It gives birth to
substantial vision.
Ø Stand out and be focus.
Don’t do what others are doing but, if you must do, be different! (Num.
13:30-31).
Ø Know that you are not
alone in this business, so be still and know that He is your GOD. He will speak
through your mind, pay attention, listen carefully, do not doubt and just
follow His direction(s).
After receiving God’s
vision for your dear life, you must do the following:
v First, you must write them
down clearly because an unwritten vision is easily forgotten. That was why God
wrote down His vision for the church in the bible and ordered us to do same
(Hab. 2:2-3).
v Create a SMART plan to accomplish the vision
(prov. 15:22; 16:1), set your goal (phil. 3:14) and time it. A timeless vision
is an unaccomplishable vision (Eccl. 3). When timing is missed, frustration will
set in (1Sam. 15:9-18; Ex.17:14).
v Vision PLUS Action = Realization. Your vision must be a daily routine, keep thinking
it, keep doing it, keep saying it, act it out and you will see it coming
through. It could also mean searching out the right information about your
vision, getting the right teachings towards attaining your vision.
v Be ready to pay some
sacrifices, to cross hurdles and to face some challenges. Great vision is borne
out of great sacrifices. No Pain! No Gain,
No Gut, No Glory! (phil. 3:13-14).
WHY IS VISION SO IMPORTANT TO MAN?
Vision is the whole
essence of our living. The reason why we are sent into this world is to fulfil
a particular vision. Vision is a discovery of God’s plan as it relate to our
life. Vision is foresight with insight based on hindsight. It is beginning a
thing with the end in mind. No man ever saw glory without seeing the vision (Acts
7). Without vision the people perish in sea of complacency, ambiguity and
ambivalence. Vision gives pain a purpose; it is the lens that interprets the event
of our life. If we have scratches on our lens, it may seem everybody around us has
scratches too. Vision is the centre point of attraction. The eyes of the body
is the eye of vision (Luke 11:34, Jn. 4 35).
The power of vision makes us speaks the truth (Acts 18:9). The power of
vision demonstrate that having a positive
vision of the future is the most forceful motivation for change to success that
fellowships, companies, schools, communities, nations and individuals possess. The power of vision will inspire the
people in your organization, fellowship or group to think together, dream
together and act together to make a difference. Holy Spirit gives us the power
(dunamis) to bring vision to pass, to exalt Jesus Christ, to attack the power
of darkness, to exalt the scripture and lift up sound doctrine. Without Vision
our sight will be blurred. Vision is one of the spiritual gifts of God to
mankind. It moves pass the realm of the logical, the sequential and the analytical
into the realm of experience. When a man has the power of vision, he sees sin
before it sinks him. Success is not achieved without a vision. When a man has
the power of vision, he is bound to do exploit both spiritually and physically.
Vision is able to lift a man from Sin to Saint,
Zero level to Hero level, from Prison to President t, Grass to Grace, Gateman to
General Manager, from Crisis to Christ-like, Failure to a Sailor and from Mediocrity
to Superiority. Vision succeeds in the face of failure. It makes a man
through adequate information to transformation.
Unfortunately, there are HINDRANCES to this supernatural plan of
God to mankind, for wherever God sow good seed, the devil seek to destroy,
uproot, kill, steal or thwart it process of germination. Scripture records that
he roams around like a roaring lion seeking for whom to devour (1Peter 5:8).
Some of these hindrances are:
·
SIN:- Our vision is blurred with hatred, anger, jealousy, enviness, blasphemy, slander,
masturbation, sexual immorality, gossip and so on. How can we see clearly
without cleansing the filthy particles from our eyes? The account of Job is a
guide for us. The Lord said; “who is this that darken my council with words
without knowledge”, and after the Lord ask Job fifteen questions ,he mouth
shivered and he replied; “my ears have heard of you but, now my eyes have seen
you therefore i despise myself and repent in dusts and ashes” (Job 39:1-2;
42:5-6, Isaiah 64:6). Visionaries who meddle with sin will sink. Do not play with
sin not even a joke, for there are vision snatchers, dream killers and future over
- takers. Be wise!
·
FEAR:- Fear comes by meditating on the lies of the
devil while faith comes by meditating on God’s words. You can be a child of God
but never have your vision of life due to fear. David saw Goliath as too big to
miss, Peter sank because of fear from boisterous wind (Matt. 14; 30). The book
of second Timothy chapter one verse seven says that God has not given us the
spirit of fear but of sound mind. Read also; Psalm 23:4 and Jn. 14:27).
·
DISTRACTION:- This is one of the devil devices to preoccupy
us with “good things ”but not necessarily at that time to stop us from
communing with our heavenly Father and doing things to please Him.
·
DISOBEDIENCE:- Scripture says that obedience is better than
sacrifice. Saul had problem of disobedience and he lost his throne (1Sam.15:22-23),
Jonah also had same problem, Adam and Eve and countless many others.
Disobedience drives the vision of God far away from us.
·
DOUBT:- Many people
pray with disbelief, so even when the vision comes to them, they refuse
to belief then confusion sets in.
·
IGNORANCE:- Some persons lacks
knowledge of how God speaks to them and many times God has reveals His
plan and purpose for us but we vehemently ignore them.
Vision is a mission in action to
achieve. Vision precedes great achievement. Vision says; I am an adventurer
seeking for treasure. One without a vision is like a scalar quantity that has
no direction. Every vision needs visionaries. If you can see it, you can have
it. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day become. Dissatisfaction
and discouragement are not cause by the absence of things but the absence of
vision. Never underestimate the power of vision. The future belongs to those
who see possibilities before they become obvious. Vision is the act of seeing
the invisible visibly. Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into
reality. Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can receive. To have
sight without vision is worse than being born blind. When you have no vision
for life, you walk and work aimlessly, live carelessly and die shamefully. You
know why? Because vision is God preferred future. Vision is seeing through
God’s eyes. What people need is the right vision not capital. Every vision that
is not back up by quality decision will end in delusion. Any man without a vision is a man without a future and a man without a
future will always return to his past. I pray for you now; that the
Almighty God will save you from any filth that have darken your eyes and make
you not to behold His glory, not to know God’s plans for your life and the
stuff you are made of. Today I pray that the Power Of Vision shall fall heavily upon you, so that you will know
the purpose why you are on earth and moving in that direction to fulfil your
destiny. It is well with you. Keep dinning with Jesus everyday for He cares for
you.
